Make people subscribe to your site
Last week I added a line of text above my RSS subscribing button and mentioned that people should subscribe to stay updated (at one of my mobile sites). I didn’t know this had so many effect. The website is online for almost 1 year now and had around 80 subscribers. After this line of text (in bold), the number is already at 96. And next week will probably break into 100 + subscribers

I have had some success with encouraging people to subscribe by email using the lightpop plugin from mass automation….it grabs visitor attention by the neck!
