The ‘how to create a blog’ buzz is over

While setting up this blog I was wondering how much people still search on ‘how to create a successful blog’. The blogosphere started years ago and got a lot of attention from all over the world. Although, the ‘how to’ buzz is kinda over. There are still thousands of new blogs started everyday, but the ‘how to’ question is answered. A quick peek at Google:

• 130.000.000 results for ‘how to create a blog’
• 29.300.00 results for ‘how to create a successful blog’

I know search results don’t say anything about search volume, but these results tell me it was, or still is, a hot topic. Lets analyse the search volume of these keyword phrases:

• 14.800 monthly searches for ‘how to create a blog’
• ‘not enough data’ for ‘how to create a successful blog’

These results are what I expected. The buzz about ‘how to create a blog’ is gone. I guess it is due to the free services like Blogger, Wordpress and Typepad. These free services make it very easy for any person to start a decent looking blog. The keyword ‘blog’ is still searched for over 35.000.000 times, but we can’t do much with that!
